Aachen. EcoDMS GmbH has extended ecoWorkflow its solution for process control by the automated recognition of line items IDR Toolkit from I.R.I.S. This enables users to further automate the processing of paper and electronic documents. The I.R.I.S. system automatically captures position-related contents of orders, order confirmations or invoices and forwards them to ecoWorkflow, which then takes over the further processing.
Increased efficiency, faster customer service and relieving employees of monotonous tasks are the most important arguments why companies are looking to automate their business processes. It is worth to take a closer look at processes that recur frequently. These are mainly orders, order confirmations, delivery notes or invoices. They usually consist of tables with a complex structure. EcoDMS has now equipped its ecoWorkflow solution with the table reader from I.R.I.S, in order to enable companies to reliably read the contents of these documents and process them further.

The best of two worlds
ecoWorkflow users benefit from this product extension by being able to automate their business processes. After all, reading out line item-related data is only the first step. Afterwards, ecoWorkflow compares the individual items with the merchandise management, ERP or other back-office systems used by customers. If the data is within a previously defined tolerance limit, they are processed automatically without human intervention (keyword: dark processing). If there are large differences, ecoWorkflow informs the responsible employee.
