ATU has developed dynamically since it was founded in 1985. Today, the company is the market leader in the German automotive service sector. Headquartered in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate, ATU operates around 550 branches in Germany and Austria. The approximately 10,000 employees generate sales of around one billion euros every year.
ATU receives over 3,000 invoices a day, mainly by email, and processes them in a fully automated way using IRISXtract™Accounts Payble. Thanks to IRIS’ IDR Toolkit solution, the validation client is integrated in the same user interface as the workflow and is fully customized. The data extracted by IRISXtract™ is subsequently transferred to the downstream workflow system and is forwarded to SAP after validation and approval.
There is one interface for the entire process. Therefore, no change of an application is necessary and there is a uniform look and feel. Thanks to the free-form extraction, no template creation is required. The high recognition rate is possible thanks to the powerful OCR engine of IRIS and the analysis logic tailored to incoming invoices. The digital process thus enables a high increase in efficiency for over 550 connected branches.
